President's Perspective: Starting 2026 with Purpose and Connection

As we step into a new year, I’m honored and excited to serve as your 2026 President of Idaho REALTORS®. A new year brings renewed hope, fresh energy, and a strong sense of purpose—and 2026 is no exception. We begin this year with clear goals, important work ahead, and a shared commitment to strengthening our profession together.

One of the highlights early in the year is REALTOR® Day at the Capitol on February 3. This event is a powerful opportunity for REALTORS® from across the state to come together, engage with policymakers, and advocate for issues that impact our industry, our clients, and the communities we serve. I hope to see a strong turnout and encourage as many members as possible to participate.

Looking ahead, I’m especially excited about a new opportunity to connect directly with you. For the first time, Idaho REALTORS® leadership, in partnership with your local associations, will be hosting “Open House” events across the state. These gatherings are designed to be informal and member-focused—an opportunity to meet leadership, ask questions, and share your thoughts. I’m truly looking forward to visiting members in their hometowns and hearing what matters most to you.

I also want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to our 2025 President, Julie Anglesey, for her dedication, steady leadership, and countless hours of service to our association and our members. Her work has positioned us well for the year ahead.

As we continue to elevate professionalism, I’m eager to see members engage with the IRIS endorsement—the Idaho REALTORS® Integrity Seal. IRIS reflects our shared values and commitment to integrity and public trust.

Here’s to a year of connection, collaboration, and progress. I can’t wait to see you out there.

- Michelle Bailey, 2026 President
