IR Community Outreach Visit: One By One Foundation

Learn More about the One By One Foundation

Last Tuesday, the Idaho REALTORS® team had the pleasure of visiting the One By One Foundation for our latest community outreach event. One By One, founded by Josephine (Jo) and Randy Hopkins, has been dedicated to healing the Minds, Hearts, and Spirits of those in need since 2007. Their work spans from local efforts in Idaho, to international projects in Ghana, West Africa.

During our visit, we met with Randy Hopkins, who gave us a deeper insight into their mission and the various ways they are making a difference. Our staff then had the opportunity to assist in caring for the farm animals - such as goats, donkeys, pigs, and sheep - and spent the morning walking the animals around the farm, feeding them, and learning about the profound impact these activities have on participants' emotional well-being.

The One By One Foundation focuses on three primary areas:

  1. Healing Minds: The foundation provides education and self-sustaining business opportunities to impoverished and orphaned students in Ghana. Their goal is to offer financial support, education, and opportunities to foster both personal and community growth.
  2. Healing Hearts: Locally, the foundation engages in animal-assisted activities. These interactive farm and animal activities are designed to offer therapeutic benefits to children and adults.
  3. Healing Spirits: The foundation also promotes the practice of Yoga meditation, offering free public lectures and programs to those interested.

By supporting these programs, the foundation aims to provide Mind, Heart, and Spiritual healing to a broader audience.

Our visit was a reminder of the incredible power of community and the difference that dedicated individuals and organizations can make. We are grateful to Randy and Jo Hopkins for their inspiring work. For more information about the One By One Foundation and how you can support their mission, please visit their website.
