2025 Day at the Capitol Round-Up

Last week, on February 4th, Idaho REALTORS® gathered at the Boise State Capitol Building’s Lincoln Auditorium for our annual Day at the Capitol event. Hosted by IR Government Affairs Coordinator Max Pond, this impactful afternoon provided REALTOR® members with the opportunity to engage directly with state leaders. Attendees heard insightful remarks from Governor Brad Little, Attorney General Raul Labrador, Secretary of State Phil McGrane, and legislative majority and minority leadership, gaining valuable perspectives on key legislative issues affecting the real estate industry.

Following the event, members enjoyed a networking happy hour in the Crystal Ballroom of the Hoff Building, where they connected with legislators, elected officials, and their staff in a more informal setting. It was an incredible day filled with meaningful conversations, advocacy, and engagement.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event a success!

2025 Leadership Summit Take Aways

On February 5th, Idaho REALTORS® hosted the 2025 Leadership Summit at JUMP!, bringing together REALTOR® leaders from across the state to collaborate, strategize, and prepare for the year ahead. Led by 2025 IR President Julie Anglesey, the event focused on key priorities for the association, including professionalism, outreach, and member engagement.

During her Visions for 2025 session, President Anglesey shared her goals to elevate professional standards, broker accountability, and community engagement. She emphasized the importance of education, fair housing training, and mentorship, along with the launch of new video resources to help members navigate the Code of Ethics and updated forms.

The summit agenda also featured critical discussions, including:

  • Conflict Resolution – CEO David Hensley
  • Time Management – President-Elect Michelle Bailey
  • Legal Update – Legal Counsel Jason Risch
  • SMART Strategic Planning – Immediate Past President Katrina Wehr

One of the biggest takeaways from the event was the introduction of IR’s new Value Program, which highlights the benefits of membership at the local, state, and national levels. To support this effort, IR created two new flyers that outline the value of Idaho REALTORS® and NAR, ensuring that members fully understand the tools, resources, and advocacy available to them.

The day concluded with announcement of the winner of the Jim Johnston RPAC Excellence Award - Mini Cassia Association of REALTORS® - followed by a networking lunch where attendees could meet directly with IR's staff and Executive Committee. Thank you to all local association leaders who joined us for one of IR's favorite events!
