Nampa Association of REALTORS®
Highlights the Realities of Human Trafficking
| |
On September 20, 2023, the Nampa Association of REALTORS® (NAOR) hosted a significant event at the Nampa Civic Center, shining a light on the pressing issue of human trafficking within Idaho communities. The evening was notably marked by the story of Elizabeth Smart, a human trafficking survivor, who recounted her harrowing experience and emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue on the topic. Local victims from the Treasure Valley also shared their stories, highlighting the pervasive nature of the problem.
NAOR collaborated with esteemed local organizations such as the Nampa Police Department, Nampa Family Justice Center, and Community Outreach Behavioral Services (COBS) to provide insights and resources on combating human trafficking.
We want to recognize NAOR President Melanie Steinhaus and AE Chris Mooney for leading the charge to host such an important event.
We urge all members to watch the comprehensive video report by KTVB and explore online resources to stay informed and contribute to safeguarding our communities.

In our industry it is support from affiliates that can make the biggest difference difference. This summer, the Latah County Board of REALTORS® hosted an RPAC golf tournament that witnessed active participation from numerous affiliates. One affiliate, CMG Home Loans, stood out not just for their involvement but also for their generous $1000 donation after winning an RPAC contest at the event. This month Idaho REALTORS® wants to give them a shoutout for their incredible RPAC support.
Established in 1993, CMG Home Loans, Inc. has built a strong reputation in the mortgage banking arena. Founded by Christopher M. George, CMG has grown to offer services through Retail Lending, Wholesale Lending, and Correspondent Lending channels. They operate in every state, including the District of Columbia, and hold key approvals with FNMA, FHLMC, and GNMA.
We want to thank CMG Home Loans Lending for their generous contribution and support.
