This month, we’d like to introduce you to Bonita “Bonnie” Budura, our volunteer at My Sister’s Closet. Bonnie has been with us since May of this year, after retiring as a Registered Nurse. For Bonnie, coming on board with us fulfills a two-fold purpose for her regarding how she wanted to spend her retirement years–that of practicing and perpetuating her Christian values, and that of utilizing her innate gifts of caring and nurturing.
“I became aware of My Sister’s Closet when they had the store in Easton. I would take my elderly mom there to shop. We had fond memories of going there, especially when we scored a beautiful garment, which basically was all the time! I was not aware that sex trafficking occurred in the Lehigh Valley; I thought that was only common to big cities. I wanted to help the victims as I became aware of their plight through Truth For Women.” (Now Bloom.)
