It takes strong hearts to support strong communities. Many of us watched a young man earlier in the year as his heart stopped beating while he was engaged in playing football on national television. This brings home the need for supporting HEART health for us and our family members.

What is needed to strengthen the Heart Muscle?

Each day, our heart beats, on average, 100,000 times, pumping our blood through a vast system of blood vessels that is more than 60,000 miles long. Because our heart is a muscle it needs to work hard to gain strength. The more we work our heart, the bigger and stronger it gets.
