Ride for Malawi Update
In Malawi, most girls walk or bike about 10 kilometers (6 miles) each way to get to school. Committed to going the extra mile for our scholars, supporters of AGE Africa biked 20 miles in Washington, DC on September 25 as part of #Ride4Malawi 2021.

In partnership with our virtual fundraising team, we raised over $90,000 to support secondary and tertiary education scholarships, life skills education, and our national radio program Ticheze Atsikana

To everyone who participated, thank you for helping dreams come true! Because of your support, our scholars have the opportunity to graduate from secondary school, attend college, and live healthy and prosperous lives.

Scholar Update: Doreen Manyamba, Maria Mateyu, and Evelyn Billiati
When Doreen Manyamba, Maria Mateyu, and Evelyn Billiati were selected to be AGE Africa scholars in 2016, they dreamed of becoming nurses. Over the past four years, they studied hard at Mulanje Secondary School, staying focused on their dreams.

This month, the three scholars sat for their entrance examinations at Mulanje Mission School of Nursing and Midwifery. As part of our new tertiary education support program, AGE Africa facilitated their travel and entrance exam fees.

Today, Doreen, Maria, and Evelyn are not only well on their way to becoming nurses, but they have also formed friendships with one another that will last a lifetime.

Congratulations Doreen, Maria, and Evelyn and thank you for reminding us to stay committed to our dreams!
