In 2022, the COR process will be affected by both OHS legislation changes and safeguards put in place to protect auditors during COVID-19.
Review 2022 deadlines and details to prevent delays, protect auditor safety, and ensure compliance with PIR requirements.
|
|
Members who achieve or renew their COR will receive their certificate as a digital file instead of a printed paper certificate. COR holders who have registered for WCB on-line services will be able to access their current approved COR through their secure on-line account.

The Working Mind First Responders
|
The Working Mind First Responders (TWMFR), is an education-based program designed to address and promote mental health and reduce the stigma of mental illness in a first-responder setting.
This training program is designed to:
- Improve short-term performance and long-term mental health outcomes
- Reduce barriers to care and encourage early access to care
- Provide the tools and resources required to manage and support employees who may be experiencing a mental illness
- Assist supervisors in maintaining their own mental health as well as promoting positive mental health in their employees

Register now for AMHSA's first offering of The Working Mind First Responders on May 3, 2022 (presented virtually).

|
Although AMHSA's primary mandate is to assist municipalities in their workplace health and safety efforts, other employers may join as associate members for an annual fee of $500 + GST.
Associate members will have access to all AMHSA services, programs, and resources for one (1) calendar year from the date of joining. This includes classroom and virtual instructor-led training at member rates, invitations to webinars and special events, use of AMHSA as a Certifying Partner in the PIR/COR program, access to AMHSA's subscription learning services, and much more!

Slips and falls are the leading cause for hospitalization due to injury in Canada. It is also the leading mechanism of injury for Alberta municipal workers and the likelihood of slips and fall incidents increases over 300% during the winter months.
AMHSA’s winter readiness webinar focuses on identifying slips, trips, and fall hazards and it provides practical strategies to prevent these incidents.

Significant changes to Alberta OH&S legislation completed in 2020 came into effect on December 1st, 2021.

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Training - 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Management Systems
