Washington Policy Update

Allison Karakis, Senior Director, Government Relations

Congress is back in Washington this week after over a month-long recess. Many members reflect on August as being their favorite month as it allows them to connect with so many constituents and truly understand the impact Washington is having back home. Legislators return with a renewed commitment to advocating for the policies that matter most to their districts.

September promises to be a busy month for Congress, with a significant agenda that includes must-do legislation and priorities set by the Administration. The most pressing is government funding which runs out Sept. 30. Bipartisan support will be necessary, adding complexity to the negotiations.

Join us on Sept. 9 for our next Public Policy Network call to get all the updates.

One Interesting Chart
