Report on Federal Activities

July 2025

Director's Note

Yá'át'ééh,

I want to express my appreciation for your continued support and interest in the work of the Navajo Nation Washington Office. This publication is part of our ongoing effort to provide transparency and consistent communication on the federal issues that matter most to the Navajo people.

Over the past month, our team has continued to actively monitor developments across our policy portfolios, and advocating for Navajo Nation priorities, most notably in the areas of ONHIR, RECA, the Federal Budget, Agriculture, Economic Development, and National Parks and Monuments.

Our office also participated in a number of strategic meetings with congressional staff, federal agencies, and tribal advocacy partners. These meetings allow us to elevate Navajo concerns and build meaningful relationships with policymakers who directly influence funding decisions and legislative outcomes.

Our goal is to ensure that the voice of the Navajo Nation is heard clearly and consistently at the federal level. Thank you for staying informed and engaged.
