VBH WEEKLY HEADLINES
VBH Red, White and Brew
Stable Call

Its the New Year and by most accounts, everyone's resolution is still going, right!? VBH's 2019 resolution is to provide monthly opportunities to enjoy friends and pints of beer.

This month we are all assembling at Catawba Brewing Company on Thursday January 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. So come and help us keep our resolution and enjoy great company!

Each month Veterans Bridge Home (VBH) is partnering with a nonprofit organization to provide volunteer opportunities to our Veteran community.

On Thursday January 24th from 1-4 pm, VBH is partnering with 2nd Harvest Food Bank. Volunteers age 17 and over, will inspect, sort & pack donated products so that 2nd Harvest can distribute to their 700 partner agencies including homeless shelters, emergency pantries & soup kitchens. Complete project instructions will be given at the start of the shift. Some bending and light lifting is necessary.

If you'd like to join 40 other Veterans, develop some esprit de corps and give back, please join us & RSVP HERE .
Veteran of the Month

VBH would like to recognize our fellow Veterans who served and are continuing to serve, their community. Do you know anyone who served, who doesn’t seek attention, but seems like they’re always doing good? This is your opportunity to show them a little love. No matter how young or old, we encourage you to nominate a deserving Veteran today. It could be a family member, spouse, friend, mom or dad.

Veterans will be selected on such factors as community impact and service record. Each month we will select a Veteran who will receive a VBH prize package including a shirt, hat, recognition and more. Selections will be recognized in The Connector and social media channels. They will also be entered in a drawing to receive four (4) free Carolina Panthers tickets to a game during the 2019 season.
Harris YMCA Room in the Inn
The Harris YMCA's Room in the Inn ministry hosts 20 homeless men in the Charlotte area every other weekend during the winter months.

Volunteers are needed in a variety of capacity such as set up, socializing, serving or providing food. Groups and families are welcome to serve together. For more information, email Sarah Morabito at [email protected]
VBH Captain's Club
The Veterans Bridge Home Captain’s Club is a select and voluntary group of Veterans in the Charlotte metro area who wish to continue to lead people toward a common mission. The common mission is helping Veterans Bridge Home continue to be a community leader in successfully transitioning Veterans home after military service.
