Monthly Staff Newsletter

Dear Team RxO,

I hope you will take a few moments to catch up on all of the activity happening around Rx Outreach right now. We are moving fast, and there are many exciting things to share and updates to cover.

  • Thank you to everyone for making time for the Call Center Transformation sessions from now through May. We hope to include each staff member throughout the process so we will end with improvements and new processes for the core of our business - talking to patients and helping them to access the medications they need.
  • Fill the Gap was featured by St. Louis Public Radio, and we are hoping to see referrals to the program grow over the next month. If you have networks or ideas about where to share the program, please reach out to Jaelyn.
  • Our new partnership with Covenant House has officially kicked off - the first prescriptions have been filled and delivered. I encourage you to check them out and learn more about this mission we are helping to support!
  • The Community Impact Network will be on-site April 22 to film a promo video for us as a part of our membership in the network. They will be bringing in snacks for staff and giving a brief presentation on their work at a town hall that day at noon.
  • Medication manufacturer, Upsher, was able to donate a large enough quantity of Topiramate ER that we are able to significantly lower the price for our patients! Thank you to Erinn, Megan, and Sergio for working through our pricing options, and the entire health coach team for helping to communicate this message to our patients.
  • Shout out to Jaelyn & Shala for participating in the Community Health Worker Certification Program with the St. Louis Community College. We intentionally asked them to complete this certification to help inform ways we can better serve our patients every day. They are in class on Tuesday and Thursday morning, so let's cheer them on to a strong finish in July.
  • The Foundation for Asthma and Allergy Impact and Rescue (AAIR) is interested in partnering with Rx Outreach to bring inhalers to young people (ages 0-23) who may need them. The potential is huge to play a role in patient education and access efforts in St. Louis and beyond.
  • WashU students will be on-site to present the findings of their marketing analytics project on Rx Outreach in early May. Look for a calendar request for a town hall meeting where we will introduce the group, their evaluation of our patient data, and our ideas for how to use this data to grow our impact.

I appreciate each and every one of you, and I hope you're proud to see our mission at work!

With gratitude,

-Roy

Request for Volunteers to Work Community & Health Events

We are always looking for ways to engage with our community and support meaningful initiatives. One of the ways we do this is by participating in local community and health-related events, which may take place during the week or on weekends.

We would love to have all staff participation at these events! If you're interested in volunteering for any of the below events, please let Jaelyn know. As events come up, she will go to this list of volunteers to coordinate our attendance.

April 26 - Community Resource Fair & Block Party with Wellston Coalition (6203 Cote Brilliante Ave, 63133)

May 8 - Senior Wellness & Stress Awareness Health Fair with ArchWell Health (9150 Page Ave, 63114)

May 15 - Senior Wellness & Stress Awareness Health Fair with ArchWell Health (199 N. Florissant Rd, 63135)

Your time and support at these events will be compensated. If you have any questions about compensation or upcoming event details, feel free to reach out to Jaelyn or your supervisor.

Missouri Earned Paid Sick Time - Initial Announcement

Please take a moment to review the below Missouri Earned Paid Sick Time Announcement.

This proposed rule is still under review by the local legislature and the Supreme Court. We’ll continue to keep you informed as we learn more about its status and any developments.

Once there is additional clarity, we will follow up with more information on how this new rule may impact Rx Outreach, including details on implementation and administration.

Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any initial questions.

New Logo & Name for the Community Pharmacy!

The RxO Community Pharmacy is officially the Dellwood Community Pharmacy by Rx Outreach!

Our new name and logo will appear on the large complex sign at the street, and we are working on replacing the signage at the front door. New printed materials and an upcoming post card campaign will feature the new name and logo.
