Colorado Classic Bike Race
|
The second annual
Colorado Classic is a four-stage men and women’s pro bicycle road race in Vail and Denver. Stage 1 starts on August 16th in Vail with a circuit race through the village. The next day, Stage 2 is a time trial up Vail Pass. The race continues in Denver on August 18th & 19th.

Pitmaster BBQ and Music Festival

The
Pitmaster BBQ and Music Fest showcases national award winning PITMasters to Colorado in a family backyard setting of Harry A. Nottingham Park. These are Masters of Pit cooking skilled at smoke flavored meats, special barbecue sauces and dry rubs unique to regions America is known for. Event will be August 18th & 19th. Check it out!

Whistle Pig Vail Concert Series: Jerry Garcia Birthday Band

Last August, Red Rocks hosted a concert celebrating the 75th birthday of late Grateful Dead frontman Jerry Garcia that featured an all-star band put together for the occasion. The band was dubbed the
Jerry Garcia Birthday Band and will reunite for a pair of shows at Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater on August 17th and 18th.
