Dear Residents & Community Members,
With August just around the corner, we hope this Monthly Update finds you enjoying the very best of Summer, whether that means taking advantage of all our area has to offer or exploring beyond. As many of you are aware, we are known as the Lake Region, as the Town of Monroe is home to Round Lake, Walton Lake and Mombasha Lake. We hope both our long-time residents and those that have recently relocated to the area take the time to visit each of these beautiful spots. More information on each lake can be found on our website under the Community tab.
With so much to do and see in our area, the Orange County Tourism website is a great resource, especially for those days when you find yourself "looking for something to do." A quick glance at this week's calendar reveals an abundance of upcoming events ranging from a car cruise and concerts hosted by our neighboring municipalities, to carnivals, fairs, festivals, wineries, breweries and more! How lucky we are to have this all in our backyard.
As we look ahead, we're excited for the return of the Monroe Cheese Festival in the Village of Monroe on September 10th after a hiatus. Shortly after that, the Town of Monroe Food Truck Festival will be back on October 15th.
Wishing you time to relax, refresh and recharge during these last weeks of Summer!
Be well,
Tony Cardone
Supervisor, Town of Monroe
