June 2023

Dear Residents & Community Members,

Summer has officially arrived, bringing with it more rain than sunshine it seems. Despite the weather, we hope this update finds you looking forward to all that Summer brings, whether it's a cherished family vacation, barbeque with friends and neighbors or celebrating the season in ways that mean the most to you. It was wonderful to see so many of you at our recent Food Truck Festival. Wow, what a turnout, with an estimated 6,000 attendees throughout the course of the day! Great food, incredible music and an amazing sense of community made for one of our best Food Truck Festivals yet. We are pleased to announce that just over $3,000 was raised for our local food pantries to support their efforts in assisting those in need in our town.

Looking ahead, we hope you'll be able to enjoy the Independence Day Celebration on the Millponds on Sunday, July 2nd (Rain date: July 3rd). Please see the flyer below for more information on what is sure to be a festive, fun celebration of our nation's independence!

Best wishes for an enjoyable, safe holiday!

Cordially,

Tony Cardone

A New Dock and Fishing Fun at Round Lake!

Heavy Equipment Operators Thor Midtbo and Chris Rand as well as Highway Superintendent Pat Patterson assisted in the recent installation of a new dock at Round Lake. The new dock ensures residents and community members have a safe area to access fishing from while enjoying the beautiful view of

Round Lake.

Pictured above is John McGrogan with his Dad, Rob. John recently caught a 5 lb. bass at the Town of Monroe dock on Round Lake. John happily returned the fish to water so another angler could enjoy the catch!
