Greetings from the Gold Dome!
Another school year is in full swing and I wish our students, teachers and administrators the best for a successful and productive year.
One of the greatest privileges of serving in the Georgia General Assembly has been watching our educational programs morph over the years into more acceptance of technical, career oriented, hands-on education and training.
Georgia's College and Career Academies have had a lasting affect not only our students, but on our Georgia economy. A prepared workforce is the number one thing new businesses are looking for when making the decision to move into our state. Fortunately, their needs are being met through various educational avenues implemented by the state, within our local school systems.
In my full update below, you will see the history of our college and career academies and the impact they have made.
As always, I will continue to update you on relevant Georgia news regarding your government at work. We ask that you reach out to us anytime with questions and concerns. Your voice is important when ensuring our delegation votes reflect the values within our district. Thank you for allowing me the honor and privilege of serving you as it is a pleasure to do so!
