Dear Residents & Community Members,
As we head into November, we're reflecting on the busy, fun, successful month we've had as a community...and it's not over yet! A sincere thank you to those who attended our Food Truck Festival on Saturday, October 15th. The weather was perfect, the food and music enjoyable and overall it was a wonderful opportunity to experience the great sense of community that is very much alive and well in the Town of Monroe. We are pleased to announce that $1,980 was raised for Monroe Gives in support of those in need in our community. There are so many extraordinary people that work tirelessly to ensure the success of this event. From our town employees, local law enforcement and emergency services to the support from our neighboring municipalities and volunteers, it truly is a team effort that we are fortunate to know.
This past Saturday, the sentiment continued as the Greater Monroe Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat at Monroe Town Hall. The event was well attended, the costumes fantastic and the trunks truly unique. A special thank you to Jen Carrillo for her coordination of this event. We wish her well as she moves on from her position as Chamber President. Stay tuned for details regarding a new location for next year's event. We've outgrown the space at Town Hall for this event in just two short years-a good problem to have! We've shared some pictures of the event in this update in case you missed it. With Halloween just a few short days away, please be sure to check out the Halloween festivities in the Village of Monroe this Saturday, October 29th. More information on this celebration can be found below.
As always, thank you for supporting all that our great community has to offer. Be well.
Cordially,
Tony Cardone
Supervisor, Town of Monroe

Flags For Our Heroes at Town Hall | |
As we look ahead to November and Veterans Day, we are pleased to announce the Town of Monroe will be participating in the Flags for Our Heroes program. This program will also continue in the Spring and beyond for Memorial Day and Fourth of July. Flags for Our Heroes was created as a program to celebrate the heroes in our lives, both living and deceased. Flags are sponsored through a monetary donation and flown for the heroes in your life, including the men and women who are serving or have served as members of the military, police officers, firefighters, first responders, parents, teachers, coaches, and/or mentors, to name a few.
The Field of Honor displaying all the flags will be the front lawn of Town Hall. If you have had a chance to see this display in some of our neighboring municipalities, we believe you will agree it is truly a breathtaking sight, not to mention an important reminder of how fortunate we are to be Americans. Additional information on how to sponsor a flag will be shared in the next few days. In the meantime, to learn more about the Flags for Our Heroes program, please visit www.flagsforourheroes.org.
