One Step Closer!

Do you have a scenic photo taken in the Town of Monroe?

If so, we'd love to share it! Please email all photos along with a description to Jennifer Schnaars at jschnaars@monroeny.org.
With the imminent arrival of Spring, we are one step closer to completing the renovations at Town Hall. Pictured is the new building lettering that was recently completed...a small, but significant step toward our goal! We are excited to share the finished product in the coming weeks and hope you will take the time to stop by and visit.

A special thank you to A.J. Roberts who focused his Eagle Scout Award project efforts on constructing an area for the installation of a triple flag pole in the front of the Town Hall building. The addition of a flagpole will not only help to beautify our grounds, but will also serve as an important reminder of the freedoms we are blessed to enjoy both in New York State and our country as a whole.

With COVID-19 fresh on our minds, I want to assure you that the Town of Monroe is communicating with our local leaders on a regular basis. We have participated in conference calls with County officials including Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus, Orange County Emergency Services Commissioner, Brendan Casey, as well as Dr. Irina Gelman, Orange County Commissioner of Health. In addition, the Town has been regularly communicating with officials at Monroe-Woodbury Central School District to fully understand preventive measures that are being taken. Jointly, we are all doing our best to stay ahead of the situation. This is unchartered territory, but please rest assured that we are working together to implement proactive measures.

The Town has directed our cleaning company to increase disinfection of all Town properties. We have also had conversations with the Monroe Joint Fire District and Monroe Volunteer Ambulance Corps regarding their plan of action. Please see below for helpful links to the most current information regarding COVID-19.

We appreciate your support and thank you for continuing to invest in our wonderful community.

Cordially,
Tony Cardone
