“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

Dear Residents & Community Members,
We hope this monthly update finds you and your family staying safe and healthy and doing your best to keep things in perspective as we continue to find our way through these uncertain times. On a positive note, the COVID-19 vaccine rollout has begun and with it, comes hope for better days ahead. However, on the other side of that hope has been frustration regarding the lack of available appointments and the shortage of vaccines. Please know that we understand your dismay over the vaccine distribution process. The rollout reflects a trickle down effect from the Federal Government to New York State to Orange County. There are many things out of our control right now, but please know that we will continue to communicate any and all updates pertaining to this. We've included useful vaccine information previously shared with you in this month's update for your reference.
In speaking with small businesses in our town over the past month, they are most appreciative of the support our community has shown, especially throughout the holiday season. We continue to emphasize the importance of supporting local businesses. There are some wonderful and exciting happenings around town these days. Whether it's a dine-in or take-out meal or a small or large purchase from a local store, your support means EVERYTHING to our local business owners. Time and time again, our community shows up to support those in need. Let's keep the momentum going with the belief that truly great things are on the horizon.
Cordially,
Tony Cardone
Supervisor, Town of Monroe

To follow are several links that you can continue to monitor for COVID-19 vaccine appointments. In addition, we suggest broadening your search to include the widest location radius that you are comfortable traveling to in order to increase your chances of securing an appointment. If you are willing and able to travel out of the local area, this may be the most viable option for you.

As always, we will continue to advocate for our residents and community members and will share updated information as it becomes available.
