Reach Missions Update

Reach Missions exists to share the gospel and strengthen local churches in three key regions of the world: the Middle East, the Yucatán, and Jamaica. We are deeply grateful for your continued prayers and financial support—your partnership is making an eternal difference. Below, you'll find the most recent updates on what God is doing through your faithful giving and encouragement.

REACH - MEDITERRANEAN BAPTIST

From July 2–12, a team of ten Americans traveled to Cairo to conduct our first-ever Youth Conference. Pastor Jon Estes from Henry Baptist was the main speaker, with Pastor Dean Chambers and Pastor Chet Cooper assisting and preaching in our churches. The theme of the conference was The Great Exchange: “Not I, but Christ” from Galatians 2:20. Egypt, much like America, is seeing more young people choose career paths that promise prosperity, while few are willing to embrace the hardship of full-time Christian service.

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. —Matthew 9:37-38

The results of the conference exceeded our expectations! Over 300 young people gathered, and revival broke out. On the final night, the meeting lasted over three hours, with our workers counseling young people for several hours afterward. Pastor Eid invited all those who had come to Christ to step forward and publicly proclaim Jesus Christ. Twenty-eight youth stood boldly at the front, confessing that they had received Christ as Savior during the conference. To God be the glory.

Please continue to pray for our churches in Egypt and for Middle East Baptist Seminary. Though regional conflicts have made things tense, God has remained faithful to the believers there. We are thankful that tensions are now beginning to ease.

REACH - JAMAICA

What amazing things God is doing in Jamaica! After several years of prayer, God sent the Ben Jackson family to Reach Missions to oversee the ministry of Riverside Baptist Church and Noah’s Ark Children’s Home. The church’s grand reopening took place on July 6. The first two weeks have been outstanding—on the second Sunday, there were 57 in attendance and two people confessed Christ as Savior. Waiting on the Lord has not always been my strong suit, but this answer to prayer has certainly been worth the wait. Souls have already come to Christ through visitation, and I believe great things are ahead. The church is growing weekly, and they’ve baptized three adult men!

Why not consider bringing a group from your church to serve in this ministry? Jamaica is a great destination due to its cost, need, shared language, and opportunity. We have a safe, walled-in facility that can comfortably accommodate 30–40 people, with ongoing needs for building projects and community outreach. Our desire is to host 15 groups in 2026. Call or contact us for more information.

REACH - YUCATAN

The Oasis House was recently completed, and we hosted our first American team there. Bob Rossiter from Creekside Christian Academy brought the high school girls’ volleyball team, and Henry Baptist sent additional adults to assist. Here are some highlights:

  • The team visited 3 high schools, 2 elementary schools, and 2 preschools to conduct volleyball workshops and share the gospel.
  • They ministered in one of our local churches on Sunday.
  • They hosted a final event on our property where over 200 people attended and heard a clear gospel presentation.

Special thanks to Tim and Krista Goff, along with their daughter-in-law Lupita Goff, for hosting the group, planning logistics, and interpreting for the team.

PERSONAL

I’ve been sidelined for several months awaiting a surgical procedure, and I’m thankful to say that is now behind me. I’ve started booking meetings for this fall. It’s been humbling to see how God has caused Reach to flourish even while I’ve been out of commission—a powerful reminder that the spread of the gospel cannot be hindered. Thank you for your faithful support of what the Lord is doing in these special places around the world.

In Christ,

Archie Norman
