Board of Supervisors recognizes Earl Edwards for his contributions to Moon Township

Moon Township board of supervisors recognized Earl Edwards by awarding him a certificate of achievement, in honor of his outstanding contributions to the Township of Moon.

Earl Edward, a South Dakota native, has been a resident of Moon Township for fifty-one years and in that time has worked endlessly to impact the community.

Upon retirement from Dravo Corporation in 2002, Mr. Edwards has demonstrated great volunteerism and community leadership. Earl is a life learner who wanted to stay busy and try things he had never done before.

Edwards serves as a member of the Historical Architectural Review Board, as a member of the Moon Cable Advisory Board, as the archiver of the Dr. Jockers Memorial Historical Archives, as the president of the Moon Historical Society, and as the creator of the Township of Moon historical signage project. In addition, he also is a volunteer at MCA-TV and with Moon Parks where he is able to share his passion for history with residents.

This award was proudly presented to Earl Edward's in recognition of his dedication to the Township of Moon. Moon Township board of supervisors would like to commemorate Earl Edward's accomplishments in Moon Township by awarding this certificate of achievement to him.
