Winter Weather Reminders
The Moon Township Public Works Department reminds residents of the following:
- The Code of Ordinances prohibits parking on township roads between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. This is extremely important during winter weather so that road crews can plow the streets without any obstacles.
- The code also prohibits plowing or shoveling snow from driveways, parking lots and sidewalks into the streets.
- Also according to the code, it is the responsibility of the owner and/or legal resident to keep sidewalks clear of snow, ice, mud and debris.
- If your property includes a fire hydrant, kindly shovel snow away from the fire hydrant so fire crews can find it easily in the event of an emergency.
