The holidays are a time of sharing joy and creating memories with your family and friends. If you are looking for some fun activities to do with your family during the holidays, please check out the 4-H Holiday Activity Guide. We hope these activities will allow you to carve out some time to reconnect with those who matter most in your life.
Our Moore County 4-H Teen Council is in the process of planning our 4-H Member Achievement Night and Volunteer Appreciation Celebration! While this celebration is held in 2019, we will be celebrating all of our youth members' accomplishments and showing appreciation to our wonderful volunteers from the 2018 4-H year! Please mark the date on your calendar and watch for more info in our next newsletter and on Facebook!
Call for Nominations
We often go through life forgetting to tell people just how truly great they are and how much they have impacted our lives. Here is your chance to help us recognize the 4-H Member and 4-H Volunteer of the Year. Please take a few minutes out of your day to nominate a 4-H member and/or a 4-H volunteer of the year. Winners will be recognized at our Achievement night!
The primary focus of the project record book is to develop the understanding and importance of record keeping in our daily lives. In addition to building this valuable life skill, it helps youth track their learning experiences, events, and skill development for future job and scholarship applications.
As a reminder, completed record books are due to the office on or before January 7th 2019! If you are unsure as to where to start, refer to the guidelines provided on the project record book forms or contact Sarah Miller for help.
Prizes/Awards:
The completed 2018 books will be graded and trophies will be awarded at the 4-H Awards Celebration
(held February 22, 2019). These 2018 books will then be sent on to be graded at the district level over the summer of 2019.
One of the many perks of 4-H involvement is the opportunity to receive 4-H scholarships. The 2019 scholarship materials are now available for review! If you are seeking a letter of recommendation from Sarah Miller, please be sure to provide a 2 week notice.
