The Madera Planning Commission recently approved the plans for a third Starbucks coffee store, with drive-thru and outdoor patio seating area in the Bethard Square shopping center on west Olive Avenue and South I Streets.

Camarena Health Opens New Center for Kids in Madera

Camarena Health officially opened its first health center for kids in Madera. Health officials, along with Madera city and county officials, were at the ribbon-cutting. It's the first standalone pediatric health center for Camarena Health.

B-K Lighting Celebrates 35 Years with Tree-Planting Goal

In celebration of its 35th anniversary, B-K Lighting in Madera is donating money to plant as many trees, times a thousand. The outdoor lighting company announced that through the National Forest Foundation, they would plant 35,000 trees in response to the devastation left by recent wildfires. “The past five years of forest fires have taken a terrible toll,” Nathan Sloan, CEO of B-K, said in a news release. “We want to take action, become doers and create a greener planet.”

Big Plans For New Businesses In Downtown North Fork

NORTH FORK – Big changes are coming to downtown North Fork as Bandit Town owner Jennifer McMillan gets busy on the three store fronts and two houses she recently purchased from Doug and Lois Betty.
McMillan is the new owner of the building that now houses K&B Auto Parts, plus the shop that used to be Sierra Video which closed in 2013, and the “garage” area in between.
