FUND + TEAM NEWS

Welcome Gray Family Foundation!

Established by John and Betty Gray, The Gray Family Foundation is furthering its deep commitment to Oregon's economic future by investing in Oregon Venture Fund’s XV Fund. What's Missing from your Compensation Strategy?

OVF works hard to open doors and support our portfolio companies - while also knowing when to staying out of their way. As a learning organization, OVF organizes regular workshops for the fund's portfolio execs and venture partners on topics of critical interest. Our recent compensation and talent workshop with OVF venture partner Susy Dunn [pictured] focused on designing effective compensation programs, hybrid work realities and strategies, and leading high-performance teams. See if anything is missing from your compensation strategy by checking out the overview on our perspectives page.

OCF + OVF Friend-raising in Bend

Thank you to the Central Oregon venture community for the warm welcome last week! We enjoyed catching up with dozens of entrepreneurs, investors, and community partners at the amazing Mountain Burger and beautiful Tetherow Pavilion in conjunction with our friends at Oregon Community Foundation (OCF). OCF has invested in every OVF fund since 2012 and together we work to improve the economic vitality of this great region by investing in local companies, supporting entrepreneurs, and building wealth that can benefit more Oregonians. Entrepreneurs or accredited investors: if we missed you, we'd still love to connect.

We are proud to continue to support Marty Kagan [pictured] and the Hydrolix team as we contribute to Hydrolix's $20M raise. OVF provided follow-on funding alongside Nava Ventures. The funding will allow Marty and team to build out the data storage company's enterprise sales and marketing functions. Congrats to all!

Marty spoke with Portland Business Journal's Malia Spencer recently on the path to raising funds in the current environment.

Fastest Growing Private Companies

Congrats to two of our portfolio companies for making the list! gearUP Sports and Customer.io were listed among the Portland Business Journal's 100 fastest growing private companies in our region. #notsurprised The publication looked at revenue as well as number of employees to determine the finalists.
