We are asking again for you to reach out to U.S. Senators regarding CERTS items to provide additional relief for our industry. This time, the focus is on Republican Senators.
Recap: a bipartisan group of Senators are proposing an additional relief package for industries like ours that continue to be disproportionately affected by the effects of the pandemic. As you know, the U.S. Senate is currently made up of 50 Democrats and 50 Republicans. It takes 60 “yes” votes to pass a bill in the Senate. While support for the proposed legislation is bipartisan, we need some more Republicans and ask that you email Republican Senators today and ask for their support.
