Fireworks are illegal in Murrieta

REMINDER: ALL FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL IN MURRIETA 🎆🚫

As the 4th of July is approaching, the Murrieta Police Department would like to remind everyone that ALL fireworks—yes, even the “safe and sane” kind—are illegal in the City of Murrieta.

To report illegal fireworks, please DO NOT call 911 or dispatch. Instead, use the online reporting system here: murrietaca.gov/fireworks. Submissions are monitored 24/7 and allow dispatchers to triage incoming emergencies along with firework reports.

Call 911 ONLY for emergencies, such as:

 • A fire has started

Let’s keep our community safe and celebrate responsibly. Thank you for your cooperation!
