IN-PERSON DINING, HAIR SALONS
AND BARBERSHOPS MAY NOW OPEN!
Mayor Eric Garcetti announced that beginning tomorrow, Saturday, May 30 th,  2020, hair salons, barbershops, and in-person dining are allowed to open. Still closed are gyms/fitness centers, bars/nightclubs, beach piers, entertainment venues, galleries, indoor museums and zoos.

Hair Salons and Barbershops must have physical distancing measures in place. Employees and customers must be screened for symptoms. Face coverings are required for everyone. No magazine, coffee, or other amenities should be provided. Contactless payment methods are highly encouraged, and stylists can only serve one client at a time.

Physical distance measures must be in place for in-person dining. Employees and customers must be screened for symptoms. Outdoor seating and curbside pickup should be prioritized. Reservations are encouraged, and customers should wait outside until called. Face coverings should be worn at all times unless eating. Bar areas must remain closed, and occupancy is limited to 60%.

Additionally, Mayor Garcetti and the Los Angeles City Council announced the launch of the LA Al Fresco program. In order to promote and assist restaurants in meeting re-opening protocols, you can now apply for expanded outdoor seating for your restaurant. Visit corona-virus.la/laalfresco  to apply.

TRANSIT ORIENTED COMMUNITIES
SMALL BUSINESS RECOVERY LOAN PROGRAM
In recognition of the COVID-19 economic impacts to small businesses, the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) presents the  Transit Oriented Communities Small Business Recovery Loan Program  funded by LA Metro. 

Eligible Los Angeles County small businesses located within a ¼-mile of a Major Transit Stop could receive up to $20,000 in loan funds to cover operating expenses.

Loan applications can be completed directly on  TOCloans.lacda.org  from Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 12PM to Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 5PM.

Loans will be made on a first come, first served basis. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the application requirements and prepare materials in advance of the opening of the application window on June 4, 2020.
