Our Commitment To Our Communities
During COVID-19
In uncertain times, a safe and stable place to call home matters. Many of our friends and neighbors, including more than 7,600 of our residents, are facing financial hardships, food instability, and social isolation. But there are also so many helpers who are lending valuable resources and support to those in need.

Our team at Nevada HAND is working around the clock to ensure the safety and stability of our residents. At no other time in Nevada HAND’s 27-year history have we seen such an urgent need or such an incredible outpouring of support in such a short time.

Here is how we are supporting our communities during this unprecedented time:
Ensuring Food Stability for our Most Vulnerable
We have modified and expanded our food programming to include more of our residents, and have implemented a door-to-door delivery system to encourage social distancing. Through our partnerships with Three Square, Delivering with Dignity, Catholic Charities, and others, as well as our ongoing pantry and commodity programs, we are delivering food stability right to our residents' doors.
Keeping Our Spaces Safe
We have temporarily closed our community spaces and postponed resident events, but our residents are finding new ways to check in on one another. Virtual activities, handwritten notes, phone calls, emails, and more have become part of our communities. Take a look at the video we put together on the importance of social distancing in our communities!
Connecting Residents with Resources
Our resident services team has been working to help residents who have suffered financial and economic setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are actively working with rental assistance agencies, stability programs, and other community partners to ensure our residents are connected to the resources that will help them through these uncertain times.
