Flowers Foods, Inc. ( FLO), an American bakery company, is not just about raking in dough from its dough. Indeed, its bevy of bakeries are perpetually donating healthy slices of their bakery foods to Feeding America, making the company a fully-fledged Feeding America Mission partner. Other generous endeavors involve supporting and supplying independent local food banks, soup kitchens, and organizations whose role it is to provide meals to the needy. More about Flowers Foods' community service.
With its headquarters in tiny Thomasville, Georgia, Flowers Foods, a publicly-traded company with symbol FLO, produces all manner of breads, buns, rolls, snack cakes, and even tortillas. You're likely aware of many of its brand names, including Natures Own, Wonder, Tastykake, Sunbeam, and Sara Lee. Among other distinctions the company has also been designated an American Hero Company.
