Good morning Austin!
At the WORTH Center, we believe in the transformative power of second chances. Our Aftercare Program is designed with a sense of urgency and full commitment to equipping our residents with the training, certifications, and employment opportunities they need to thrive upon release. By breaking down barriers and fostering intentional partnerships, we ensure that our residents don't just get a job, they secure good jobs!
In collaboration with Northwest State Community College and the Tyro Program, we offer advanced electrical certifications that lead to substantial career opportunities. One of our remarkable success stories is a former female resident who, through dedication and hard work, now earns over $30/hour in her field.
To further support our residents, we actively promote the Second Chance University program, led by Andre Norman, tailored for the final 30 days before release. This initiative addresses critical needs such as obtaining social security cards, driver's licenses, securing the first month's car insurance, and managing court costs. By providing these essential resources, we empower our residents to overcome obstacles and confidently reintegrate into society.
