Nine years ago on January 14th, 2009, a town lost a hero, a family lost a father and America lost a protector. 
Captain Chad Allen Reed may be gone but he will never be forgotten. If you will, say a prayer for his family as you go upon your week or as you cross his Steinhatchee Memorial Bridge. He was a great man and officer whose legacy will stay with us forever.
