CHA Telehealth Update

Rules about telehealth visits are changing. Here is what you need to know:

Your location matters

Because each state has different laws for health care, CHA can only provide televisits to people in Massachusetts. After September 1, when you select a date and time for your televisit, you will need to confirm you plan to be in Massachusetts during the visit.

There may be a cost for your telehealth visit

Depending on your insurance plan, you may now have a co-pay or deductible for a televisit. This is usually the same as an in-person visit. Please check with your insurance plan to find out if there is a cost for your visit and what the cost may be.

SNAP-eligible patients can use their EBT cards to access their Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) benefits. Customers will be reimbursed immediately for any purchases they make with their EBT cards. This means if you have 40 dollars on your EBT card, you will be able to purchase $40 worth of free, locally, and organically grown produce with an additional 25% discount!
