As an insurance professional, you know what it's like to play an essential role in someone's life
You protect people every day. We thank you for it!

To show our utmost respect for the heroes working to bring this pandemic to a safe end, and all those people continuing to carry out responsibilities amid chaotic times, UFG Insurance’s headquarters is illuminated in blue. It’s one way we can stand in solidarity during this isolated time.

We’re also striving to take care of you and your customers. We reminded you of some positive responses to the COVID-19 crisis last week, including payment flexibility, payroll records at premium audit, midterm changes to policy exposures, vacancy condition, and Platinum Rewards payout. Today we have additional efforts to share.
Premium refund checks

Premium refund checks will be mailed to policyholders rather than agents for the time being. As many agents are working away from offices, this approach will connect policyholders with refunds while removing a reason for agents to leave the safety of home. This change in routine is temporary.
InsurPay claim payment options
UFG teams with InsurPay to offer a variety of payment options for claimants. Customers can choose direct deposit into a bank account or a prepaid debit card if they don’t want to wait for a paper check. And, right now, the option to choose electronic payment means no extra trip to the bank—another step to promote staying home as much as possible.
No-touch claims

In the same spirit of staying home, no-touch claims (a possibility nationwide) can help people assess damages without face-to-face interaction, creating a safer experience for adjusters and policyholders alike.

Photolink

Another claims tool taking social distancing up a notch is Photolink for vehicle damage. When this interface launched, it was simply a convenient way for policyholders to send photos of damage to an adjuster without visiting a body shop for an estimate. As we all cope with this pandemic, the stay-at-home element of Photolink has elevated that service from convenient to safe.
