This month, 50 more families have come to Empowering Everyday Women Ministries for food and emergency assistance. Our supplies are running low at the very moment the requests keep growing.

Teresa Livingston is one of those mothers.

She is a single mom raising five children. Her husband recently died from complications of a stroke, and he had been the family’s primary source of income. One day, her household was stable. The next, she did not know how she would put food on the table.

That is how quickly life can change for a family.

Teresa’s story is one of many heartbreaking stories we are hearing right now.

Parents are struggling to keep food on the table. Households that once made ends meet are facing choices no one should have to make.

For some families, our help means groceries in an empty kitchen. For others, it means one less impossible decision between food and another essential bill.

We do not want to turn anyone away.

Empowering Everyday Women is excited to announce the expansion of our Safe Water Project to Kenya, with a focus on communities in the country’s arid and semi-arid lands.

These are areas where drought, water scarcity, and limited infrastructure make reliable access to safe water a daily challenge.

These regions cover nearly 90 percent of Kenya.
