The Nanaimo Chamber will be hosting a Candidates Forum on October 14th at 6:30 p.m. to be broadcast live on Shaw TV - Channel 4.

APPLICATION INFORMATION FOR CRB, CRSB AND CRCB

The Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) is a benefit of $1,000 per two weeks ($900 after taxes withheld) for up to 26 weeks. It is available to workers who are self-employed or are not eligible for EI and who still require income support.

Applications for the CRB open October 12th, 2020 
Applications are now open for the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB). This benefit provides $500 per week, for up to two weeks, for employed and self-employed people who can't work because they are sick or must self-isolate due to COVID-19. It helps ensure all Canadian workers have access to paid sick leave.
Applications are now open for the Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB). This benefit provide $500 per week ($450 after taxes withheld) for up to 26 weeks. The benefit is for employed and self-employed people who can't work because they need to care for children under 12 or other family members who need supervised care, or if they are themselves sick.
EMERGENCY COMMUNITY SUPPORT FUNDING AVAILABLE

Applications are now being accepted for UWCNVI's second round of ECSF grants.

You are invited to apply if your organization has a charitable number and is providing supports and services to meet immediate community needs related to the COVID-19.

Applications close October 30, 2020 at 12:00 pm noon.
