Greetings!

Our upcoming endorsement meeting is just around the corner, and we have a record number of women candidates to consider!

As things heat up on the national stage , women are rising up throughout the country to protect Roe vs. Wade  and  sound the alarm on sexual harassment . Threats to equity and reproductive choice have inspired women nationwide to step up, speak out, and run for office.

Next week you will have the opportunity to hear from our local women candidates about why they decided to run. Please join us on   Monday, September 24th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm  to take part in this important endorsement meeting so that Run Women Run can invest in our chosen candidates and help them win in November.

If you have not yet RSVP'd for the September 24th meeting, please let us know so we may plan for seating accordingly . Light refreshments will be provided. This event is open to the public, however in order to vote your membership must be in good standing (8/25/18 deadline). Proxy voting will not be permitted.
Now more than ever, it is critical that we help build support for local pro-choice women running for office to enhance representation and advance equity.

  • As a local organization, Run Women Run may endorse in races impacting San Diego County.
  • Any Run Women Run member in good standing at least 30 days prior to the endorsement meeting is eligible to vote on our endorsements (8/25/18 deadline).

Our endorsed candidate for Chula Vista City Council District 2 needs your support! Help make sure Jill Galvez gets elected in November by contributing to her campaign . Join Assemblywomen Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher, Mayor Mary Casillas Salas, RWR board member Nora Vargas, and RWR founding member Laura Fink on Thursday September 27th at Seven Mile Casino for a special fundraiser in support of Jill's campaign.
9/20 RWR Board Member Mehry Mohseni Moderating Lawyer's Club discussion on SCOTUS and the Future of Reproductive Justice

RWR invites you to the Lawyer's Club Reproductive Justice Committee's September luncheon featuring RWR board member Mehry Mohseni, and panelists Tracy Skaddan and Jessica Ayala from Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest. This event is open to non-lawyers and non-Lawyers club members. The discussion will focus on recent SCOTUS decisions that impact reproductive justice as well as an analysis of how the U.S. Supreme Court may analyze these cases after the appointment of Justice Anthony Kennedy's successor.
