The Madison Chamber is recruiting over 40 community volunteers to spend less than an hour demonstrating the importance of reading to Madison elementary school students (grades K-3). When the readers arrive at the school on their designated day, they will be provided with a brief Read Aloud orientation and a beautiful new story book to be given to the classroom.
The 2022 Read Aloud Program will take place on May 19 and 25. While we cannot promise that you will receive the placement you request (if, for instance, you would like to read to your own child's or grandchild's class), we will make every effort to honor your wishes on a first come, first served basis. Please register to be a volunteer reader no later than May 11.
