More than 14,000 Job Openings in North Dakota
Williston Economic Development - Williston Economic Development Executive Director Shawn Wenko attended a joint meeting of the North Dakota Department of Commerce's Workforce Development and Economic Development and Finance divisions on December 17 in Bismarck. The group learned the state currently has at least 14,749 job openings and an unemployment rate of 2.5 percent.
North Dakota ranked 4th Best State for Millennials
Sidney Herald - Working hard or hardly working? Many millennials are working hard, but you couldn't tell from looking at their bank account. Between rising student debt, stagnant wages, and avocado toast, millennials are struggling. As a group, 23-38 years old earn less and have less assets than their parents did a generation ago. Read More
Williams County allocates $750,000 to New Seed Cleaning Facility
Williston Herald - Williams County Commissioners are putting $750,000 toward a new seed-cleaning facility and greenhouse for the Williston Research Extension Center, the latest in a string of high-dollar donations to update capabilities at the research farm. WREC director Jerald Bergman said the total cost of the seed-cleaning plant is $2.5 million, and for the greenhouse $500,000. Read More
Leadership Williston Students learn about City, County Governments
Williston Economic Development - The 2019 Leadership Williston class learned about city government recently. The group listened to presentations from City of Williston leaders and toured the new Public Works and Engineering building on Wednesday, December 11. Leadership Williston is sponsored by the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce. The program is designed to train and empower Williston's future leaders.

News Release - Western Cooperative Credit Union is pleased to announce the Board of Director's decision to donate $5,000 to the newest airport in western North Dakota, XWA in Williston. New Police Station, Norseman Museum to open in Tioga in March

North Dakota's Final Medical Marijuana Dispensary opens in Dickinson

Dickinson Press -  Herbology Dickinson opened Friday in Dickinson.  The medical marijuana dispensary, operated by Grassroots Cannabis, is the company's fourth in North Dakota, and sells marijuana products for medicinal purposes. The same company was also selected for dispensaries in Devils Lake, Minot and Jamestown.   Read More
Oil Patch has Record Setting October
