Every year in March, Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM) provides an opportunity to highlight how much people with DD contribute to our communities, whether as friends, neighbors, co-workers, or classmates. The 2025 theme for DDAM — "We're Here All Year" — encourages us to recognize the contributions people with DD make every day of the year, not just in March.
So, if you're a person with DD, what can you do to ensure you're living the life you want and participating in your community in a meaningful way? Below are some ideas to help you.
