PWHD Community Engagement Team in Prince William County
Anyone can request assistance from the PWHD Community Engagement Team.
The Community Engagement Team sets up booths to sign people up for vaccine appointments or goes door-to-door canvassing to talk to residents about the COVID-19 vaccines and vaccine appointments. Also, the team may possibly set up a mobile vaccine clinic at your location or the surrounding community.

Meet Our Senior Employment Specialist
Hekmatullah Latifi is our Senior Employment Specialist, who assists newly arrived clients with attaining self-sufficiency through employment, and provides internal leadership through training, mentoring, monitoring, maintaining quality services, and building our employment program capacity. He’s originally from Afghanistan, and is fluent in Pashto, Dari, Urdu, Hindi and English. Hekmatullah has a master’s degree in organizational leadership earned from American Leadership School. He gained variety of work experience from government, nonprofit, and some other humanitarian assistance organizations, and developed strong sense of helping others. His typical day at the office is to answer clients’ questions, keep the services and clients’ job placements on target, and refer clients out for services. Especially, whenever he sees a refugee child is helped by us and were able to enroll in schools, so that the child goes to school without fear of bomb blast, kidnapping, or hunger, that really motivates him to come to work everyday!
