Latest Updates from

Ventura Regional Fire Safe Council

Wildfire Safety Education

Our team has a new

Home Hardening Display!!

These two structures are meant to help provide residents with examples of varying levels of fire resilient components on a house!

One side of the display shows wooden vs asphalt roofing, vinyl vs wood siding, and 1/8th mesh vents vs 1/16 mesh vents. The other side shows a concrete tile roof vs an aluminum type roof (common in many mobile home communities), cement-composite siding (like Hardie or Trex boards) vs stucco siding, and two types of ember resistant vents.

Thank you Allied Disaster Defense for donating the vents, Luis and Dawn Espinosa for donating the roofing material, and Carlos De Leon for all the hard work!!

Catch us at some local events this year to see this display in person!
