Saturday, June 6, 2026, is California’s Adopt a Pet Day.

In honor of this statewide holiday, the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter is offering FREE dog and cat adoptions from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

During this promotional event, adoptions also include a free spay/neuter service and microchip.

In MoVal, There's No Place Like Home!

The City of Moreno Valley is proud to announce our summer Beautify MoVal at Home award program!

Beautify MoVal at Home is a quarterly recognition program that celebrates residents who demonstrate exceptional pride, care, and creativity in maintaining and beautifying their homes. The program highlights properties that are visible from the public right-of-way and reflect strong curb appeal, thoughtful landscaping, property maintenance, creativity, and overall visual impact.

Resident submissions will be accepted now through June 15, 2026, and are open to both homeowners and tenants of single-family residences located within the City of Moreno Valley.

Following the submission period, applications will be reviewed, and four winners — one from each City Council district — will be selected, along with one overall citywide top winner chosen from among the district winners.

The Summer Quarter Beautify MoVal at Home Award winner(s) will be announced at a future City Council Meeting, where recipients will be publicly recognized.

¡La Ciudad de Moreno Valley se enorgullece en anunciar nuestro programa de premios de verano Beautify MoVal at Home!

Beautify MoVal at Home es un programa trimestral de reconocimiento que celebra a los residentes que demuestran un orgullo excepcional, cuidado y creatividad en el mantenimiento y embellecimiento de sus hogares. El programa destaca propiedades visibles desde la vía pública y que reflejan una excelente apariencia exterior, jardinería bien pensada, mantenimiento de la propiedad, creatividad y un impacto visual general sobresaliente.

Las solicitudes de residentes se aceptarán desde ahora hasta el 15 de junio de 2026, y están abiertas tanto para propietarios como para inquilinos de viviendas unifamiliares ubicadas dentro de la Ciudad de Moreno Valley.

Después del período de solicitudes, las aplicaciones serán revisadas y se seleccionarán cuatro ganadores — uno de cada distrito del Concejo Municipal — además de un ganador principal a nivel de toda la ciudad, elegido entre los ganadores de distrito.

Los ganadores del Premio de Verano Beautify MoVal at Home serán anunciados en una futura reunión del Concejo Municipal, donde los recipientes serán reconocidos públicamente.

Our Pet of the Week is Bean, a two-year-old brown and black Chihuahua and Shepherd mix.
