The City's usual event at the Civic Center Veterans Memorial was changed due to virus safety concerns. His remarks are archived on those platforms for you to watch at your leisure.

New banners and pavers have recently been installed to honor the following brave Americans:

- Jorvin II Julao Sevilla, Army and Army National Guard

City's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Keeps MoVal Prepared
|
|
While an emergency can strike any City, Moreno Valley is much better prepared than most because it has a staffed Emergency Operations Center (EOC) ready to respond in a rapid, coordinated fashion.
The Fire Department's Office of Emergency Management and Volunteer Services is responsible for minimizing the effects of natural and man-made disasters by establishing readiness through City-wide prevention, preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation. It includes coordinating and conducting drills for the EOC, as well as providing a wide variety of training to both employees and residents, including Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Terrorism Awareness, and emergency preparedness training.
In time of emergency, the EOC brings together City management and Police and Fire first-responders in a single location where plans and decisions can be made efficiently and based on the facts of the situation, and needed resources can be marshalled quickly without necessarily having to rely on another government agency.
