Moreno Valley Animal Shelter Honored with Grant Award from Petco Love
No one loves pets more than the employees of the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter. Recognizing MoVal Staff's regard for all animals, Petco Love awarded a $15,000 grant to the City of Moreno Valley to provide assistance for community pets. The grant award will help implement a pet retention program for pet owners whom the COVID-19 pandemic has financially impacted.

Petco Love provides grants to municipal animal shelters, on a competitive basis, throughout the United States for a variety of programs to assist companion animals. Petco Love has previously awarded the City of Moreno Valley grants totaling nearly $100,000.

A Visit to Adrienne Mitchel Memorial Park
Adrienne Mitchell was 20 years old when she was killed during the Gulf War in 1991, becoming the first woman from Moreno Valley to die in combat. Four years later, the City of Moreno Valley dedicated Adrienne Mitchell Memorial Park to honor her sacrifice.

Today, Adrienne Mitchell Memorial Park is a 4 1/2-acre recreational area where families gather to enjoy each other's company. Located at 22631 Bay Avenue, Adrienne Mitchell Memorial Park features four basketball courts, barbecues, horseshoes, picnic tables, playgrounds, and a walking path. Adrienne Mitchell Memorial Park stands as a fitting tribute to one of Moreno Valley's fallen heroes. Learn more online about Adrienne Mitchell Memorial Park and all of Moreno Valley's beautiful parks!
