Stay Cool Over Summer, MoVal
As summer temperatures rise, so do the costs of keeping your home comfortable and cool. Consider these summer tips to help reduce strain on your air conditioning system and keep your home cool:

  • Use ceiling and portable room fans to circulate cooler air
  • Install white window shades, drapes, or blinds to reflect heat away from the house
  • Consider high reflectivity window films that block summer heat gain
  • Invest in cost effective energy efficient windows with low-e coatings which reflect solar heat and improve insulation
  • Install awnings and close curtains on south and west facing windows;
  • Consider installing a whole-house fan
