Moreno Valley Commemorates 20th Anniversary of September 11 Attacks
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, a number of memorial events will take place throughout Moreno Valley on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

Residents can place flowers at the foot of the 9/11 memorial at Fire Station 99, located at 14300 Morrison Street, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Moreno Valley Unified School District will be holding a September 11 remembrance ceremony at 9 a.m. at the MVUSD administration building at 25634 Allesandro Boulevard. MVUSD Superintendent Dr. Martinrex Kedziora will speak, as well as representatives from March Air Reserve Base and the Riverside County Fire Department.

The iconic "M" atop Box Springs Mountain will also be lit red, white, and blue on Saturday evening to honor and remember those lives lost.

Moreno Valley has launched a special broadband survey to get to know how residents like their internet access in Moreno Valley. The broadband survey will be available for a limited time and it only takes ten minutes.

The survey is open to all MoVal residents, organizations, and business owners. The survey will it help the City understand local needs and plan for Moreno Valley's future.

Questions from the survey may include:
  • How satisfied are you with your current internet speed, reliability, and cost?
  • Do you have a choice from multiple service providers, and are you satisfied with their offerings?
  • How essential is the internet for your current operations, and why? 
  • Where do you see your business and industry going in the future, and what role will the internet play?

El Grito Festival is Just Around the Corner
El Grito de Independencia is just days away!

Join us for good food, mariachi music, ballet folklorico dancing as we celebrate the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month and Mexican Independence Day at Moreno Valley's brand new Civic Center Amphitheater on Wednesday, September 15.

The main event will be a re-enactment of "El Grito de Dolores," the legendary event, which sparked the Mexican War of Independence from Spain. The main stage will also feature a live stream of the El Grito events from Mexico City.
