Mayor and City Council Approve Historic $50 Million Road Improvement Plan
During the February 1 council meeting, the Moreno Valley City Council approved a historic $50 million investment toward Citywide pavement rehabilitation, the most significant public works expenditure in Moreno Valley's history.

Roads have consistently been at the top of Moreno Valley residents' priorities. In response, the Moreno Valley Pavement Rehabilitation Plan will target roads most in need of repair across the City.

The plan will accelerate nearly ten years of scheduled road work into roughly 18 months of construction time. Work will begin later this year, with an estimated completion date of June 2023. Click here to learn more about this massive investment and view a map of roads scheduled for rehabilitation.
Be a Part of the Council Redistricting Process
Every 10 years, Moreno Valley uses new census information to revisit City Council district boundaries. You can be a part of the process by making your voice heard during public meetings or submitting redrawn district maps of your own.

The next public hearing about the redistricting process will be during the Tuesday, February 15 City Council meeting. The deadline to submit your own map is February 18, and submitted maps will be reviewed during the March 1 City Council meeting and adopted during the March 15 Council meeting. The winning map must be adopted by April 17.

Visit redistrictmoval.org, where you'll find more information on how to get involved and how to build and submit your own Council district map for review.

Pet of the Week: Jeanie
Our Pet of the Week is a two-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Labrador Retriever mix named Jeanie, and she’s one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. Jeanie is always excited to meet new friends and will immediately roll onto her back to get a belly rub when she meets you. Jeanie is also incredibly playful, and there’s nothing she loves more than playing a game of fetch with a tennis ball. Take one look into Jeanie’s big brown eyes, and you’ll know she’s the perfect pet for you.

If you would like to make Jeanie or any pet from the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter part of your family, please contact the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter at 951.413.3790 or visit www.moval.org/pets.
