The Moreno Valley City Council approved a substantial $5.5 million investment toward public safety, city beautification, and quality of life initiatives during the February 1, 2022 Council meeting.

The investment, part of the first quarter budget update, will go toward a new Fire Squad, three additional Sheriff's Deputies, a Police Behavioral Assessment Team, and an additional Park Ranger to enhance the City's public safety initiatives. The City will also be investing in more Community Enhancement, Public Works, and Park Maintenance teams.

This allocation will lead to enhanced public safety response times, homeless service programs, and more funding to beautify the City and bolster park maintenance programs. Click here to learn more.

Pet of the Week: Betty
Our Pet of the Week is a super sweet and energetic 10-year-old Pit Bull mix named Betty. Although she may be in her golden years, you shouldn’t judge this dog by her age. She loves to run and play and gets excited whenever she meets new people. This golden girl is hoping to find her forever home where she can live a long and happy life with her new family.

If you would like to make Betty or any pet from the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter part of your family, please contact the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter at 951.413.3790 or visit www.moval.org/pets.
