Hundreds of Moreno Valley Residents Come Together to Beautify MoVal
Another successful Beautify MoVal Community Day of Service is in the books!

On Saturday, May 14, Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez, the Moreno Valley City Council, and hundreds of your fellow community members gathered at Sunnymead Park and Woodland Park to paint bleachers, clean up, plant trees, and so much more.

Thanks to our volunteers, our parks continue to be as beautiful as ever.

Mayor and City Council Unveil El Potrero Park's Brand New Soccer Field Lights
El Potrero Park's soccer field officially has brand new lights!

Mayor Yxstian Gutiérrez, the Moreno Valley City Council, and Moreno Valley's youth soccer teams flipped the switch on Monday, May 16, and illuminated the soccer field with brand new, state-of-the-art LED lights.

These low-maintenance and cost-effective lights will brighten up summer evenings for many of Moreno Valley's youth sports teams that play on our fields.

Mayor and Council Dedicate the Newest Portion of the Juan Bautista de Anza Trail
Moreno Valley has opened another beautiful trail!

Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez and the Moreno Valley City Council officially dedicated the newest segment of the Juan Bautista de Anza trail on Wednesday, May 18.

The historic trail passes through the heart of Moreno Valley, and this newest segment stretches approximately two miles, from El Potrero Park to Lake Perris.

Getting to Know the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter
The Moreno Valley Animal Shelter has everything you need for your four-legged friends.

Our Moreno Valley Animal Shelter staffers work hard around the clock to ensure Moreno Valley's pets receive the utmost care. Services include low-cost, walk-in pet vaccinations on Thursdays and Saturdays, regular low-cost adoption events, a foster pet program, an active animal rescue program, and so much more.

The Shelter also provides a robust Trap Neuter Release (TNR) program for cats, which has serviced over 2,100 feline friends since 2015. The Shelter also features an exclusive online database, where lost pets are logged and easily accessible with just a click of the mouse.

Our Pet of the Week is Daphne, an incredibly sweet eight-month-old Siberian Husky Mix. Daphne is an exceptionally friendly pup who will always invite you to play. With an endless amount of puppy energy to spend, Daphne’s play schedule has no end in sight. One thing is clear—Daphne just wants a home to call her own.
